Connecting Your Google Business Account for Automated Reviews

In order to get the most out of your Reviews it is important to link your Google Business.

Establishing a strong online presence is vital for attracting new customers, and Google is an exceptionally potent platform for this purpose. By linking your Google Business account, you can maximize the effectiveness of your reviews. Follow these steps to create a direct link for reviews:

1. Create a Google My Business Direct Link:

  • Start by going to the Google Places API to locate your company's Place ID.
  • Enter your business details in the “Enter a location” field and select your business from the results.
  • Your Place ID will be displayed beneath your business name.
  • Append this Place ID to the following URL format to generate your direct review link:
    https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=<place_id>


2. Connect to Punchey's Reputation Settings:

  • Navigate to your Software’s Reputation Settings.
  • Select "Connect Review Site" next to the Google option.
  • Enter the direct review link you created.

3. Verify Your Link:

  • To confirm the link is functioning correctly, paste it into your browser's search bar. It should direct you to a Google review pop-up. If it does not work, please contact your Account Manager.

By linking your Google Business account, you ensure you’re well-positioned to gather more reviews, which are crucial for boosting your online reputation. Remember to utilize Review Requests in the system for additional engagement.
