Overview

Punchey’s Click-to-Call feature makes outbound calling seamless. Place and, if desired, record calls directly from any customer profile—no softphone or plug-in required. Calls display your Smart Number as the caller ID, keeping your personal line private while maintaining a professional business presence.

How It Works

  1. From a customer profile, click the phone icon.

  2. Punchey first dials the number saved in your User Account & Phone Settings.

  3. Once you answer, Punchey automatically dials the customer and connects the call.

  4. The customer sees your Smart Number as the caller ID, not your personal line.

Your ring-to number can be any device you choose:

  • Mobile phone

  • Desk phone

  • Office line

All outbound calls are automatically logged in Punchey, ensuring accurate records of customer communication.

One-Time Setup

  1. From the Dashboard, click your name in the top-right corner.

  2. Go to Account Settings ➜ User Account & Phone Settings.

  3. Enter the phone number you want Punchey to ring first.

  4. Click Save.

Recording & Compliance

  • Outbound calls can be recorded depending on your Smart Number settings.

  • Always check your state’s consent rules before recording. Some states require one-party consent, while others mandate two-party consent.

  • Call logs and recordings are stored under the associated customer profile for easy reference.

Why Use Click-to-Call?

  • Eliminate the need for external dialers or browser plug-ins

  • Protect your personal number by always displaying your Smart Number

  • Maintain accurate call records for better customer management

  • Improve efficiency with one-click outbound calling directly from Punchey
